Problems with FTP Downloads

If you are experiencing problems regarding downloading files through FTP, try making these changes to your browser settings: -

  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Click on “Tools”
  • Click on “Internet Options”
  • Click on the “Advanced” tab
  • Un-tick the boxes “Enable FTP Folder View” and “Use passive FTP”
  • Click on the “Connections” tab
  • Click on “LAN settings”
  • Click on “Advanced”
  • Un-tick the box “Use the same proxy server for all protocols”
  • Remove the entries in the boxes “Proxy address to use” and “Port” for FTP
  • Now try to download the file (you may need to clear your temporary internet files before you do this)
