Project management and implementation for major ICT programmes.

• Projects to date have included -
  • Over 500 whiteboards installed in schools over the past 18 months (via NRF, DfES and LSC funded schemes).
  • The management of the roll-out of all of the 150 broadband connections to Sandwell sites (including external residential centres).
  • The laptops for teachers scheme.
  • The procurement and implementation of over 60 Espresso content servers.  

• Broadband Sandwell manages the change control process for the Broadband service contract to assist schools and other partners to develop their use of Broadband.

• There is close liaison with SMBC’s buildings and technical services departments to ensure appropriate surveys are undertaken and H&S requirements complied with.
