for SEN
Broadband Sandwell
provides the following support
- We carry out assessments at the request of SEN
Service Unit to identify a student's needs in terms of appropriate hardware
and software.
- We provide reports of assessments to SEN Service
Unit.
- We supply equipment as requested by SEN Service
Unit.
- We commission and deliver the equipment to the
student.
- We provide initial and ongoing training to students
and schools in receipt of specialist ICT equipment to maximise impact.
- We deal with technical issues, including maintenance,
that may arise in connection with supplied equipment.
- We provide loan equipment, from time to time,
in order that fuller assessments of need can be identified, where the
student's needs require this.
- We produce individual access materials if necessary.
- We maintain a list of pupils who have had equipment
supplied by the LEA.
- We liaise and work with other agencies e.g.
Inclusion Support, Speech and Language Therapy as required
to support students.
- We maintain a School Training Log, which identifies
training and support provided to schools in connection with high cost
ICT, over an academic year.
